Dear Friends and Family of Tony Aveil. It's been almost a year since Tony's passing.
On Christmas Eve we were informed that the cancer in his lungs was untreatable and he had only months to live. He went in for his final surgery on Christmas and goddamnit he was a trooper. He was really so brave. He hardly ever complained and i can't imagine the pain and suffering he endured during his treatment.
I wanted to share some of the good times via photos. If anyone would like to contribute photos I'd be happy to post them.
If you review all of the photos to the end, I promise you will get a GOOD LAUGH. I hope it doesn't offend anyone. You know what, tough shit, i don't care.
You'll find some common themes: skiing, golf and lots of before/after pictures out with friends! The pictures are on my FAce Book page and Open to the public.
Happy New Year

Turnout on Friday Says it All
On Friday night we celebrated Tony's life at a gathering in West Vail. By my count, and I'm sure I missed a few, there were at least 70 people there.
Given we had four days to contact friends and family, I am once again astounded by the number of people that Tony befriended and connected with.
Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us. Tony would have been proud, as was I.
This will probably be my last post. Thanks to everyone who followed Tony's last days, and gave us love, friendship and support.

Friday night we will have an Open House for anyone who would like to join us in a celebration of Tony's life. 5:30 pm - 8 pm in West Vail on Kinnikinnik Road. Pine Creek on the right hand side. It's the 3rd Bldg. Unit #4. Go past to find parking. It will be tight, please carpool as much as possible.
We'll have finger foods, wine and beer. If you want something stronger, please BYOB.
His birth Mother Vera and sister Rebecca will be there and they'd love to meet you and share in your memories of Tony.
If you have photos that you can share with them, and even take with them, that would be awesome.
If you need more specific directions or get lost, please call the house in West Vail and talk to my parents Vic and Paula. 970-476-6829. Hope to see you then.

Sweet Dreams Tony
Tony passed away in his sleep this morning, Valentines Day, at the Vail Valley Medical Center.
It was his wish to be cremated and have his ashes sprinkled in various bodies of water.
So next time you are swimming in the ocean, or kayaking down a river, maybe you'll feel him swim by you onto a new adventure.
Sweet Dreams Tony.
Thanks to everyone for their loving support.
