Let's Blow this Popcicle Stand!

Well, Friday Tony woke up and said, "I need to get the f--- out of here".

And so tonight we are sleeping at the Holiday Inn in Chinle, AZ. In the middle of a Navajo Reservation and hopefully more than half the way to Scottsdale.

Tony drove the whole way, bless his heart! I had to pee like 10 times and it probably took him 2 hours longer than if he'd driven alone. Men should never road trip with women...

We've rented an Extended Stay Hotel room in Scottsdale for 10 days which will allow us to prepare and cook our own meals... and the price means that i might be able to fit in a massage at the Phoenician :)  I know, i know, i'm going to hell. Whatever.

We brought three bikes with us, and golf clubs.  I don't know if we will be using any of them, but it's something to look forward to if Tony is feeling better in the warm weather.  Temperatures are expected to be in the low 70s this week in Scottsdale. 

Sorry to anyone in Vail who is looking for us :)

Seeking Warm Weather Destination

Sorry i haven't blogged, we have been very busy since returning to Vail following Tony's surgery.

It's been two weeks since Tony's surgery. He is healing very well on the outside but is tired and frustrated on the inside.  We are visiting a homeopathic provider on Tuesday for some ideas of how he can feel better... under the circumstances.

The short-term goal is to get his strength and energy back, from good nutrition and exercise. 

If anyone knows of a place we could borrow or rent in a warm environment in a few weeks, please let us know!  I'm also checking VRBO. 

He's getting cabin fever here in Vail. Not much to do when the temperatures are in the single digits.
